I've heard it said that all the books of the bible fit together, but when I try to read it I do not understand how they all go together.

How exactly do all the stories fit together??

How can it all fit together when there are so many different authors. Some of the books are are easy to understand some are not, the story does not seem to flow. And another thing, what wisdom is there in a bunch of names anyway? How come the bible doesn't just leave all that out? Is it REALLY necessary? Especially if Jesus has already come.

Please help me to understand!
